A talk by the leader of Greece's leading Left Party Coalition, on recorded on Jan. 25, 2013 at The City University of New York, in a program sponsored by CUNY's Center for the Study of Culture, Technology, and Work.

Alexis Tsipras, a member of the Hellenic parliament, president of the Synaspismos political party since 2008, head of the SYRIZA parliamentary group since 2009, and leader of the Opposition since June 2012. SYRIZA currently leads in Greek opinion polls.

Information for Affiliates

Is your radio station or web radio site interested in becoming a Between The Lines Affiliate?

Here's information on what we do and what you need to know to become a Between The Lines affiliate.

Between The Lines is free to noncommercial radio stations and Internet sites, although we do welcome donations. When you register by contacting us by phone at (203) 268-8446 or by email, we will send more details on how you can receive the broadcast version of the program each week as well as add your radio station's airdate/time to our online schedule and keep your contact information on our file for regular schedule/site maintenance updates, special audio projects for radio broadcast and fundraising premiums.

Production Schedule

NOTE: To current broadcasters. Beginning Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, order to accommodate our affiliates' increasing use of automated download software, Between The Lines is changing the filenaming convention for its MP3s and website archive to reflect each weekly program's Posted/Release date. We will no longer use a "Week Ending" date to refer to a specific program.

For example, the upcoming Wednesday program to be produced and released on Dec. 27, 2017, would ordinarily have been referred to as the program "Week Ending Jan. 5, 2018" on our website. It would now be referred to as the program posted/released Dec. 27, 2017. Its filename ordinarily would have been 180105-btlv128.mp3; the file would now be named 171227-btlv128.mp3.

Our production deadline is still Wednesdays by 12 noon at:

  • Pacifica Radio Network at audioport.org (You must be a PRN affiliate and have a password)
  • A-Infos Project at radio4all.net under Between The Lines Radio Newsmagazine
  • iTunes, broadcast quality (You may need to refresh your iTunes page)

Registration

Once you let us know you are interested in broadcasting Between The Lines, we will send you a registration form. Your registration allows us to provide you with last-minute updates for Between The Lines, as well as information on special programming and BTL affiliate discounts on fundraising premiums. We will also send you invitations to join our e-newsletter for the BTL Weekly Summary with transcripts.

For Windows PCs: right-click on the link for the MP3 file you wish to download. A pop-up menu will appear with several selections, including one that allows you to download the file to your computer's hard disk. Depending on your computer and browser, the wording may be "Save Target As," "Save Link As" or "Download Link to Disk." Select the appropriate "Save" or "Download" choice. After you make that menu selection, a pop-up dialogue box should appear that allows you to save the file wherever you choose, unless you have configured your browser to always save to a download location you have pre-selected.

For Macs: Right-click if you use a two- or three-button mouse; otherwise hold down the control key and click on the link (or just click on the link and hold the mouse button down until a menu appears). From the pop-up menu that appears, select the menu option that allows you to download the file. Depending on which browser you use, the download selection may be labeled "Save Target As," "Save Link As" or "Download Link to Disk." Select the appropriate "Save" or "Download" choice.
